Remote Monitoring

Remote Monitoring via an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC)

Whether you’re looking to protect a commercial, industrial or residential property from intrusions or fire; an alarm is a necessity however, simply having an alarm that sounds when activated doesn’t allow for a practical and timely response to the situation at hand. Nobody is notified (expect maybe for a few disgruntled neighbours), and helpful action is not necessarily taken.

Our high-tech remote monitoring and alarm receiving centre is manned with trained experienced staff who will act quickly in any eventuality. By using versatile Sentinel Plus and Immix Systems we can monitor Intruder AlarmsFire Alarms and CCTV devices with care and responsibility. Our remote monitoring centre is fully manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and provides fast and secure management of all our client's security systems. Should an incident be detected we can despatch our mobile response officers to manage the situation and ensure the safety of both people and property.

    More Information

    Keyholder Response

    A keyholder response alarm is an intruder alarm system that’s monitored 24/7 by a third-party alarm receiving centre (ARC). The staff at the ARC react to your alarms activations by contacting you and your predefined list of key holders.

    Manned Guarding

    Manned guarding activity includes any of the following;

    1. Guarding premises against unauthorised access or occupation, against outbreaks of disorder or against damage.
    2. Guarding property against destruction or damage, against being stolen or against being otherwise taken or obtained.
    3. Guarding one or more individuals against assault or against injuries that might be suffered in consequence of the unlawful conduct of others.

    All the above include providing a physical presence, or carrying out any form of patrol or surveillance, as to deter or otherwise discourage it from happening or to provide information, if it happens, about what has happened.

    Police Response

    In accordance with the association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) Policy, police in the UK will only offer a response to verified alarm signals from systems which have been granted a Police URN (Unique Reference Number).

    With this approach, the Police aim to provide an effective response to genuine intruder alarms. Monitored Systems can only be installed by certificated providers and must be subject to a maintenance agreement. Excess false alarms will jeopardise Police Response.

    SSAIB is approved by all UK Police forces, therefore certified providers can obtain police URNs for the systems they install.

    Fire Response

    Fire authorities ate adopting an approach modelled on the ACPO policy outlined above. To obtain a response from a monitored fire alarm system in the future, you will have to have a URN issued. Only certificated providers can issue URNs and are subject to a maintenance agreement. Excess false alarms will jeopardise Police Response.

    SSAIB is approved by all UK Police forces, therefore certified providers can obtain police URNs for the systems they install.
